X-rays and fluoroscopy (realtime x-ray) use radiation to see through tissues, allowing your doctor to evaluate the bones, lungs and other tissues. Fluoroscopy uses contrast material to evaluate the gastrointestinal tract and genitourinary tract as well as to guide access to joints.


As with many other procedures, it is important to inform the technologist if you may be pregnant.
